Despite perceptions of an industry wide hiring freeze since the start of Covid, the Insource platform shows active recruitment is still going on in many law firms<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A quick snapshot of two top tier and two middle tier firms showed that between March and November 2020, these firms on average had hired just under 60% as many lawyers as the same time last year. Insource Managing Director Jenn Little commented that \u201cwhile this is only a very quick sample, it is consistent with the feedback I am hearing that while there is an understandably cautious approach to planning for\u00a0 2021, many practice areas are up on 2019. Consequently, while recruiting is not up to 2019 levels, most firms are still bringing in new talent on a reasonable scale\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
